Distribution for dummies
Hi
I know this can be done via a dataset and frequency - but wondering if there is another way to do it.
I want to create say rating answers to a number of scores ... so I would love to just enter Max and Min, and then a median value to push the distribution to a specific spot way based on how I want the number to be skewed. Is it possible without creating 3 to 5 different frequency datasets?
How to solve Wifi problem on my Apple TV
I had this problem and found the best solution. My apple tv won't connect but only gave the error message prompting me to connect to home-sharing. I tried to authorize the Apple TV from iTunes on my computer, but this didn't make a difference.
SQL from function is wrapped with quotes, which doesn't work
I am generating SQL from my schema. The target database is Oracle, which requires the use of a "TO_DATE()" function, e.g.:
INSERT INTO "Car" ("Name", "SortOrder", "Created") VALUES ('Ford', 4, TO_DATE('2019-11-12', 'yyyy-mm-dd'))
I am using the schema "Date" column to generate the data value, and using a function to provide the format:
concat("TO_DATE('", this, "', 'yyyy-mm-dd')")
In Preview, the correct SQL is generated:
TO_DATE('2019-07-24', 'yyyy-mm-dd')
However, in the generated SQL, the TO_DATE() function is wrapped with quotes, which will not work:
'TO_DATE(''2019-11-13'', ''yyyy-mm-dd'')'
(has the outer quotes)
My question:
Is there a way to get Mockaroo to create the correct SQL, without the outer quotes?
Thanks.
Issue with Avatar data type
Hi there,
It seems that there may be a bug with the API in getting the "Avatar" type. I'm sending the below body to the generate API:
[{
"name":"photo",
"percentBlank":0,
"type":"Avatar",
"height":"300",
"width":"500"
}]
The API responds back with the following JSON:
{
"photo": "https://robohash.org/esseautnon.jpg?size=50x500&set=set1"
}
You can see that even though I'm specifying the height to be 300 and width to be 500, it's ignoring the height and just setting it to 50. It should be responding back with the URL https://robohash.org/esseautnon.jpg?size=300x500&set=set1
Is anyone else experiencing this issue? It is something I'm doing wrong?
Thanks,
Dylan

Cash App Customer Support
Hello, I'm Allison Campbell. I'm from Alaska- 99519. I am working with the Cache App customer support which provides you with a fast way to contact the Cache App. Common reasons people who try to call the Cash App customer support department include account access, payment issues, an issue dispute, track an order, trouble receiving payment, and other customer support issues. So we started compiling this information built on the suggestions of the customer community. Please keep sharing your experiences so that we can continue to improve this free resource. Phone number format "(###) ###-####" doesn't output the dash, e.g., (602) 9276178
Also noticed this issue, but using the formula until it's fixed!
Credit Card # by card type & length
I am looking for options on how to control the card type and length of the card for some testing purposes. I appreciate the wide variety of card types and lengths generated for the CC type currently but there are times I want to limit to a single card type with fixed length. I am looking for something like what you can see here from faker https://github.com/joke2k/faker/blob/master/faker/providers/credit_card/__init__.py
Any suggestions on how to address via functions or would this need to be a roadmap request?
Great work and Love the tool!
Cheers,

Facing Gmail Error While Using
If you see the message gmail error 007 on your screen then you don’t need to worry. This is common pop up when using Gmail. This error oops... a server error occurred and your email was not sent. (#007) is common and easy to fix.
Generate a time between X and Y the next day
I'm not sure the current Time generator supports this. If I put in 9AM as the first time and 3AM as the next time, it will generate times as if I had specified them the other way around, so all I get are times between 3AM and 9AM.
I am trying to mock up data for a series of pubs with sales after midnight, so what I need is to generate a time which starts after they open (which will be on date T but the date itself is unimportant) and closes at the second time on date T+1 (again the date itself is not important; I am generating the date elsewhere.
So, in my example, all my times would be from 9am until midnight, or from midnight until 3am, but nothing between 3AM and 9AM. Hope this makes sense.
So is there any way for me to do this? Or will have to resort to some ruby in a formula (which I am trying to avoid as I'm not a Ruby developer.)
Login history with empty value for some users
Hi there
I want to generate a login history dataset.
I would like to have some userid with no login date. By using "% blank" the number of not connected is a bit too low. So I apply it also on the userid field to have the expected results but I need to join another table later in the process. Anyway.
For those with login date, I would like to have kind of ramp up or at least with some drop off on weekend for example.
Is there a way to do it ?
Thanks

Dataset lookup error: undefined method `lists' for nil:NilClass"
I know its an old post, but for those who come here, to use the dataset formula, you must choose the formula data type and then its work, you can't use it on the formula button at the end of every element.
Setting Min/Max of a JSON Array Type using another field value?
I'd like to set the min/max on the array using a field in my schema. Is this possible?
